PeeWee Major: Chris Lloyd- Coach – USA Hockey Level 3 Coaching Certification. Coach Chris returns to the Icecats for his sixth season. Varsity coach of St. John the Baptist 2013-2014. Played NCAA Division III (ECAC Northeast) Hockey at Western New England University from 2007-2011. Played two (2) years for the New Jersey Rockets Junior A Hockey Team. Coach Lloyd took the Midget 16U team to the LIAHL Championship Game during the 2014-2015 Season.
PeeWee Minor: Tom Cairo – Coach – Coach Tom, a USA Hockey Certified Level IV Coach, has been coaching youth hockey on Long Island for over twenty (20) years. He has been with the Icecat organization in various capacities since 1999 and was named “Coach of the Year” in 2007.
If selected for the PeeWee Icecat Major or Minor team, the cost of tuition will include five (5) Spring practices; one (1) week of hockey camp tentative scheduled for the end of August; Professional coaching staff; two (2) to three (3) weekly practices in season; practice jersey and socks; season runs from September 2017 to March 2018; and two (2) tournaments. Players new to the organization will also receive a hockey bag. Total tuition is $4,300.
SPRING PRACTICE SCHEDULE
The PeeWee Major and Minor teams will participate in five (5) spring practice sessions at Iceland on the following dates:
Tuesday, April 4th – 7:20 – 8:20 pm
Tuesday, April 25th – 6:10 – 7:10 pm
Tuesday, May 16th – 7:20 – 8: 20 pm
Tuesday, May 23rd – 6:10 – 7:10 pm
June 20, 2017 – 6:10 – 7: 10 pm
Goalies will receive three (3) additional training clinics on Thursday, May 4th, May 25th, and June 15th. All sessions are from 8:20 – 9:20 p.m. at Iceland. In season practice sessions will begin the week of September 5, 2017.
The PeeWee Icecat Major and Minor Teams will compete in the LIAHL and the MEHL. Teams can expect between one (1) and three (3) games each weekend. In addition to league games, each team will compete in at least two (2) tournaments.
